Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere on his return from injury & new teammates

Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere made his return to football last weekend against QPR in the Premier League after spending 14 months on the sidelines with knee and ankle injuries. Wilshere played well making key passes moulding well with Santi Cazorla and Mikel Arteta winning the match 1-0. Wilshere was interviewed about his return, his new CTR360 boot and the latest Premier League ball.

Wilshere previously wore the Nike CTR360 Maestri II boot and he now wears the White/Volt/Pine Green Nike CTR360 Maestri III boot. The boot emphasises on All Conditions Control (ACC) which means the boot is suitable for all weather conditions. The boot is designed for the central midfielder wanting to enhance their control and touch as well as controlling the game. In the interview Wilshere mentioned that he has adapted to play in whatever type England weather can throw at him whether it be rain, sleet or snow. He notes that foreign players who play the best in England are the ones who have adapted to the weather conditions. The new Arsneal players Santi Cazorla and Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain have added competition for midfield spots which Wilshere feels is what players need. Having never played with Mikel Arteta he said he was keen to form a partnership with the Spanish midfielder. He also is keen to play with Oxlade-Chamberlain for club and country. He said the players have gelled well especially Santi Cazorla who is a natural footballer.

After Wilshere’s long spell out he said he looks to put the pressure on himself and the team to perform well. Wilshere’s role models are Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Vieira and Cesc Fabregas. Wilshere is still only 20 years old and has a bright future ahead of him for Arsenal and England. Wilshere looks set to play Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League next weekend.
