Stoke striker James Beattie and AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso are the two latest names to be linked with a move to Ibrox this summer.

Gattuso is also being chased by Greek side Olympiakos, but with a Scottish wife, Gattuso would be willing to make a move back to Glasgow. The Italian World cup winner spent a year with Rangers back in 1998 under Walter Smith has never hid his desire to return to the SPL Champions towards the end of his career.
It has emerged Rangers are interested in securing James Beattie on a loan deal from Stoke. Beattie’s wages would be a massive stumbling block but reports suggest Stoke would be willing to pay half his wages so long as Rangers pay the other half. The powerful centre-forward hasn’t had the greatest spell at the Britannia Stadium with only 9 league goals to his name. There is no doubt though that the 32-year-old would add a fair few goals to the Rangers front-line.
Gattuso, would be a geniunely world class signing, but I must emphasize these are rumours and nothing else.
