Calcio Show as Juve Trounce Artmedia

Classic celebration from Del Piero after scoring the stunner

Del Piero is Ageing like Wine

Juventus may have had the luck to face a slightly weak team when compared to Atletico Madrid, Galatarsary or Fenerbache but they still managed to produce a breathtaking performance to beat Artmedia 4-0. From the start, it was clear that Juve would win the match and the only question was by how much. A super Grygera ran rambo on the right side dribbled past two players and then fell in the box with Camoranesi sprinting for the ball and shooting past Kamenar in the 7th minute. Grygera had to be stretchered off the pitch a couple of minutes after and Ranieri opted for the tridente sending Vincenzo Iaquinta on for Grygera. All in all the best goal of the match came in the 26th minute! A splendid goal from Il Capitano who continued to show he is still the man and why he said he wanted to play for another six or seven years! A one-two pass with David Trezegeut who also had a fine game sent Del Piero blazing the ball in the top right corner of Kamenar to put Juve 2-0 up. 39 minutes passed from kick-off and a Camoranesi free-kick was met by the head of Il Giorgione who took advantage of some misunderstanding by the opponent’s defence. Half-time came and Juve were 3-0 up.It seems the older Il Capitano gets, the better he becomes and if continues to play like this I don’t care if he’s still playing at 40!

Iaquinta, Trezegeut and Del Piero all had their chances to put the scoreline in a more embarassing way for Artmedia and newcomer Poulsen too was denied by Kamenar on a great attempt. At least Poulsen proved something after his disastrous match against Manchester United. Amauri who came on for Del Piero should have made it 4-0 after Iaquinta’s shot was parried by Kamenar and Amauri from about 7 yards blasted the ball high. Legrotagglie wrapped up the match by heading in the fourth goal to make it clear that Juve will be going to the Champions League Group Stage. Buffon on his 500th career match had an easy match yet important as Juve are gearing up for their return to brilliance.
