Dylan Gorosito Argentina

Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a move for Boca Juniors fullback Dylan Gorosito.

The Blues, who have lately focused on signing young players with a high ceiling, are confident of adding the sought-after youngster to their roster.

Chelsea Interested in Signing Boca Juniors Teen Dylan Gorosito

Dylan Gorosito has been shining in the youth categories of the Argentine national team, causing some prominent European clubs to take note. Chelsea have reportedly shown the most interest, with them already preparing a long-term plan to get Gorosito up to the speed of top-tier football.

Gorosito has just one appearance in the top flight of Argentine football, but he is already considered one of the most talented defenders in the league.

According to Fichaes.net, Chelsea understand that they need to act fast to acquire Gorosito ahead of other European teams. And they have two crucial factors working in their favour.

Reasons Why Blues are Confident of Signing Gorosito

As per the aforementioned report, Boca Juniors initially expressed their desire to hold on to Gorosito for a couple more seasons. However, Chelsea’s increasing interest in the 19-year-old has compelled Boca to reconsider.

Boca Juniors and Gorosito’s entourage are aware that a big offer from Chelsea could expedite the players’ exit.

Considering how aggressively Chelsea have been in their pursuit of acquiring their favourite players, Boca are hopeful of securing a sizable fee. They could use the funds from the sale to reinforce their squad.

The second and more important factor is Gorosito’s eagerness to move to the Premier League. He believes it is the perfect move to aid his growth and is likely to agree to personal terms with the Londoners.

How Chelsea Plan to Develop Gorosito

Chelsea have put an excellent plan in place to get the best out of the fullback. Instead of making him fight for minutes at Stamford Bridge, they want to use Todd Boehly and Co.’s multi-club ownership program to good use.

Boehly is also a co-owner of Ligue 1 club Strasbourg. The plan is to initially send him to Strasbourg to aid his development. Once he succeeds, they plan to bring him back to Chelsea.

However, it is worth noting that the plan was initially hatched under Enzo Maresca. Maresca left Chelsea on New Year’s Day, throwing the whole plan into limbo.

Strasbourg boss Liam Rosenior could be Maresca’s successor, but it is unclear if he is ready for a project of such magnitude.

Chelsea are set to keep working on Gorosito’s transfer. However, it is unlikely to be finalised until the next permanent manager comes on board.
