Bristol City players Adriano Basso and Marvin Elliott have been listed among the top 50 players in the Football League.
The two were honoured at last night’s Football League Awards, with the Top 50 also featuring in the May edition of Four Four Two magazine.
The Brazilian shot-stopper was ranked as the 39th best player, with Four Four Two magazine claiming that he is ‘widely regarded as one of the best keepers outside the top flight’.
His teammate, Elliott, has been described as a ‘powerhouse midfielder’ and came in at number 31. Elliott’s stock has risen considerably after his debut season at City last season, with rumours abound that Premiership clubs, including Portsmouth, were interested in securing his services. The only firm bid, by Wolves during the January Transfer Window, was heartily rejected by Johnson, Lansdown and co.
The rankings were decided from votes cast by fans, players and managers from across the Football League’s three divisions.
