Destination: Switzerland

On Wednesday evening, the French national team, accompanied by head coach Raymond Domenech, the coaching and fitness staff started their journey to Switzerland, where they will be playing their group matches in Euro 2008. The squad left their Clairefontaine residence at around 17:30 and travelled by the team coach to the Villacoublay airport. They arrived at the airport at 18:05 and boarded the plane that would take them to Switzerland: a journey that took less than four hours. The Austria/Switzerland adventure starts now!

The French squad was greeted by journalists and photographers at the Geneva Airport at around 21:10, and boarded the team coach that took them to the French base camp on Mount Pilgrim. At 10pm, all the staff of the Hotel Mirador Kempinski, where the team will be staying for the European Championship, came out to greet the French squad. The French team has enough time to settle in the amazing hotel with breathtaking scenery, and will start preparing for the task at hand: that of securing a comfortable qualification from a tight Group C.
