Deigo Milito, who has scored 51 goals in 108 games for Real Zaragoza since he joined from Genoa in 2005, seems to be Juande Ramos’ ideal replacement for Dimitar Berbatov, who’s departure seems iminant. The pair have a similar style of play, with both being “number 9s”.
Milto, 29, who’s brother, Gabriel, plays for Barcelona, has made 14 apprearences for Argentina. But with Real Zaragoza’s relegation, he will be available for 5-7 million. And Spurs boss Juande Ramos is a big fan of the forward. In the 2006/07 season, Milito scored 23 goals, and last season was handed the captaincy. The striker is widely regarded as a magnificent header of the football, and will be hungry to prove himself at the top level. If Keane and Berbatov both leave the Liliwhites; Diego Milito and Andrei Arshavin could prove to be just as much of a formidable partnership as the current duo have shown in recent years. It is thought that the forward could be close to agreeing a deal with Spurs, but who do you think would be the perfect replacements for Berbatov and Keane?
