After an eventful few days at White Hart Lane, Tottenham have announced the signings of Carlo Cudicini and Pascal Chimbonda.
Cudicini, I have no doubt, will prove an astute signing, after the Italian signed on a free transfer following the departure of Cesar Sanchez. The 35-year-old is second in Chelsea’s all-time clean sheets record, and will giv excellent cover to the currently injured Gomes.
Pascal Chimbonda has also signed, returning to the club he left not five months back. This is not such an astute signing. Alan Hutton, Vedran Corluka and Chris Gunter have all been signed for the right-back position in the past 12 months, and are all exciting young players. Young players who’s development could be halted by the 29-year-old.
Harry Redknapp has now made four signings during his tenure at Spurs, and will be looking to bring in another striker, no doubt, if Darren Bent gets the all-clear to leave. BUT HE STILL HASN’T SOLVED THE THREE-YEAR LEFT WING PROBLEM!!!
