New Douglas Park Gets Thumbs Up!

After a pitch inspection today, the ActiveNation Scottish Cup Fourth Round tie between Hamilton Academical and Rangers will go ahead at New Douglas Park in Hamilton. The West of Scotland has been paying the price for the harsh weather conditions and the Scottish Cup fixture-card has been desimated by postponments with only a few games going ahead on the Saturday.

Novo is a Fans Favourite at Ibrox

It is a double-header for Rangers at New Douglas Park with the sides to meet next weekend in the Scottish Premier League. Nacho Novo, who scored there last season, will be out for this game on Sunday after picking up a thigh injury in the Old Firm derby last weekend which saw him subbed early in the first half. Rangers physio Pip Yeates has assessed the injury which gave Novo heavy bruising after the collision with Georgios Samaras.

Midfielder Kevin Thomson is back in the squad for this match aswell after being sidelined since the 6-1 win over Motherwell in December. Kenny Miller is also back for Rangers as his suspension is only for the SPL fixtures, but Pedro Mendes, Steven Naismith and Madjid Bougherra are all unavaliable.
