Ferguson: Chelski stand in our way

Belief is growing at Old Trafford after the Red Devils extended their advantage at the top of the table to 5 points last weekend. Last weekend, we also had the drop of Arsenal to third-place. Sir Alex Ferguson stated that he is now more worried about Chelsea than about the Gunners. The Russian-owned Israeli-coached ‘We want Mourinho back!’ club is the most capable of the chasing pack to challenge Man Utd to their second consecutive title. The Blues are on an unbeaten run of 14 games. Despite this, the supporters, as could be seen on Sunday, are still chanting Mourinho’s name and booing Avram Always-Happy Grant’s substitution decisions.

Ferguson is keeping in mind that United must maintain this 5 point margin, as they are still to travel to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea. And with their wonderful home record, Chelski are no joke to play. Fergie said: “We have established a good lead but we’re not taking anything for granted, we have to carry on playing the way we have been.” According to the highly-respected Scot, the most consistent team between now and the end of the season will eventually be crowned English Champion. Should Man Utd win all of their 5 league games against lower sides and draw/win both matches against Chelski and Arsenal, the league would be theirs for another season.
