The friendly match between France and Colombia played on the 3rd June ended in a 1-0 win for the Blues. France had won the first preparation friendly against Ecuador by 2-0 and drew against Paraguay. Their last match before the European Championship kicks off finished in a favourable result thanks to a penalty by Franck Ribery, who is expected to shine in the coming tournament.
In the match, Thierry Henry was making his 100th appearance for France and he was involved in the action that led to the penalty, as he was the player to be tripped inside the box by Cristian Zapata. Ribery stepped up to take the penalty and the young Frenchman didn’t miss in the 24th minute. The focus will now turn to the first game of group-stage against Romania on the 9th June.
