Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has dismissed suggestions the club could allow striker Gabriel Jesus to leave during the January transfer window.
The Gunners manager has stated he has no intention of selling Jesus after his return from a long-term knee injury.
Brazilian forward Jesus, 28, has been sidelined for almost a year after suffering an ACL rupture.
He required surgery following the injury, sustained in January’s FA Cup defeat against Manchester United.
Recent Arsenal injury updates have been positive, though, with Jesus returning against Club Brugge in midweek, and a number of other stars soon to be available.
But 18 months left on his current contract, there have been murmurings that Jesus may be sold in the upcoming window.
However, despite an injury-ravaged period at the Emirates, his manager retains full faith in his abilities.
Arteta has confirmed there are no plans to part ways with Gabriel Jesus any time soon.
Mikel Arteta Rules Out Gabriel Jesus Transfer
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s clash with Wolves, Arteta was full of praise for Jesus.
“We know his quality,” said the Spaniard.
“He’s a player that has given us so much and he comes with the energy that came the other day.
“He’s certainly a player that has to be pushing [to start] and aiming for that, that’s for sure.”

Jesus has previously discussed his desire to remain at Arsenal, indicating he will one dat return to Brazil to finish his career.
But with the World Cup looming, some had linked him with a move away.
Not Arteta, though. He has insisted such talk is far from reality.
He said: “I don’t consider that, especially with the situation that we have right now.
“I think Gabriel has a lot to offer to the team and he’s proven that straightaway in the first minute that he was available to play.
“He’s put so much in to be in this position again and now the focus is to be with us.”
Gabriel Jesus Injury Has Piled Pressure On Viktor Gyokeres
With Jesus sidelined for the long-term, Arsenal’s top summer signing was Swedish striker Gyokeres.
The former Sporting CP man has shown flashes of brilliance, but struggled for consistency and fitness.
With six goals in 18 games, he has been far from a flop.
But there are question marks over how well he has adapted to the Premier League.
Discussing if the team needs to help him out more, or if Gyokeres must do better, Arteta stressed there is a balance to strike.
“I think the two things have to merge”, he said.

“I think we have to put the player in the best possible condition to explode and fulfil his potential, and then there are certain things that, within the role, in the manner that we play, have to be fulfilled, and that’s a combination of both.
“Then it’s not only that. I think, more importantly, is the connections and the players around him.
“Those interactions, that understanding, how it develops, and before the injury, I think he was in a great place.
“I think it took him a while at the beginning because it’s a different league, different demands, he had no pre-season, and now he’s starting to get some momentum.
“The goals will come and we’re going to be very pleased with him.”
Gyokeres will naturally grow into the side the longer he is in it.
But knowing that Gabriel Jesus is fit, firing, and not set for a transfer away from Arsenal will definitely ease fans’ nerves.
And having Kai Havertz also close to a return means Arteta’s attacking options will soon look far deeper.
