Gai Assulin to Wear Spurs Shirt?

Continuing Barcelona’s trend of producing some of the best young players in world football, 17-year-old winger, Gai Assulin, is the latest sensation to be impressing for the Barcelona B team. But, frustrated at his lack of first team oppertunities, the young Israeli is thought to want away from Spain. He has already deputised for his country, but is yet to be given a first team game for the Catalan giants; although, it was thought, when former Barca B boss, Pep Guardiola, took to the helm, that the winger would be one of the players to make the step up to the big time. Expectations that are yet to materialize.

So, it is thought, that his agent could be manouvering a move away from the Nou Camp for the player, the same agent that brought Giovani Dos Santos to North London. As with Giovani, Spurs will have to hold off Chelsea in the race for the teenager’s much sought after signature. But this time, clubs such as AC Milan, Manchester United and Arsenal may also look upon him as a potential superstar in years to come. Assulin’s agent may well want his client to secure a move to White Hart Lane, after the Giovani transfer, and this may give Spurs the upper hand. But Chelsea will also feel they have the upper hand, with his Israeli team-mate, Ben Sahar, blooming at Stamford Bridge.
