Goals Galore – Football Roundup Sun 19 Sep 2010

Well what a cracking two live games there were today. Manchester United nearly threw away another two goal lead but deservedly scraped a 3-2 win in the end. Have to say Dimitar Berbatov was absolutely outstanding, made Torres and Rooney look like League Two strikers! His second goal was truly amazing definitely worth a look on MOTD2 tonight.

In the other live game it was David v Goliath and Goliath won! My work prediction was down as 8-0 and for 45 minutes I really thought it was on. Chelsea in the first half were outstanding but credit to Blackpool in the second half they played out of their skin, never gave up and could’ve nicked one or two goals.

Chelsea really are looking amazing at the moment though, 21 goals in five games is brilliant. Its really hard for me to say but they are title certainties at the moment, Manchester United are really going to have to buck their ideas up to be anywhere near Chelsea at the end of the season.

In the 3rd game Manchester City won 2-0, no comment on this yet as I haven’t seen the highlights!

Other football news, Arsene Wenger was up to his normal tricks blaming his usual cop out the ref. For once though I do feel slightly sorry for Arsenal, although Sunderland deserved a draw overall, Songs first yellow clearly wasn’t and the ref had no reason to add another 30 seconds on at the end of the game. Have to say Darren Bent is looking good at the moment and with Ayew backing him up they have a cracking strikeforce.

And finally, on to Leicester, Sounds like we had a certain penalty turned down yesterday, Super Stevie Howard elbowed in the area and given a bloody nose but no penalty, have to say referees at the Walkers Stadium do seem to have it in for us.

Well not much footy this week coming Carling Cup Round 3, and my boys in blue are away to Portsmouth on Tuesday and then the same fixture on the Friday night (live on Sky) tune in and watch some proper footy.

Would love some comments on what you think of my blog, this is the first one I have really done so some constructive criticism or ideas or even some good points would be cracking!
