Tottenham finally gave their supporters a night to enjoy on Tuesday, beating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Champions League.
But eagle-eyed viewers spotted an interesting guest present in the stadium watching on: none other than former Chelsea and West Ham boss Graham Potter.
Graham Potter Spotted at Tottenham vs Dortmund
Potter was seen in attendance as Spurs earned a much-needed European win, with goals from Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke sealing the result.

Graham Potter was spotted attending the Tottenham win against Dortmund, alongside Sweden international Dejan Kulusevski
Given the context, it didn’t take long for speculation to kick off on social media.
Thomas Frank is still under pressure despite the victory, and Spurs supporters are aware that one good night doesn’t erase weeks of frustration.
A high-profile coach attending a club’s game where the manager is under pressure tends to spark speculation about whether this is the club’s replacement.
But does it mean anything?
Why Was Graham Potter at the Spurs Game?
Before Spurs Twitter could spiral too far, there is a perfectly logical reason why the ex-Chelsea coach was there.
Potter is currently the manager of the Sweden national team, and he was watching the match alongside injured Spurs star Dejan Kulusevski, one of his key internationals.
So it can be presumed that his attendance had nothing to do with Tottenham.
Potter was likely just check in with Kulusevski, and take in a high-level Champions League game in a city he probably still lives in.
Thomas Frank Still Under Pressure at Spurs
After the game, Frank described it as a “special European evening” and spoke defiantly afterwards about unity between players, staff and ownership.
The performance backed him up, at least for now.
Tottenham were dominant early on, already ahead when Dortmund went down to ten men following Daniel Svensson’s red card.
Spurs played with confidence and energy rarely seen this season, with Xavi Simons and Djed Spence particularly standing out, and a late cameo from 17-year-old Jun’ai Byfield adding to the feel-good mood.
Still, some fans booed Frank’s name before kick-off. And that tension won’t just vanish, even after arguably Spurs’ best display since their win over Manchester City back in August.
The win puts Spurs in a strong position to finish in the top eight with one more game to play. It’s a mystery why they can’t seem to replicate their form in Europe in the Premier League, particularly at home.
Spurs Fans React to Graham Potter Attending Dortmund Game
Of course, football logic rarely gets in the way of football emotion.
Most Spurs fans are already uneasy about Frank’s long-term suitability, so the timing was impossible to ignore.
A former Chelsea boss. Champions League night. A manager under pressure. It practically writes its own conspiracy theory.
But in reality, there’s nothing in it.
Tottenham reminded themselves how good they can be on Tuesday night, offering Frank some much-needed breathing space. But that doesn’t mean he’s safe.
But for a fanbase trained to expect drama, particularly after some Spurs players kept their commemorative 1901 shirts, the sight of Graham Potter in the crowd was always going to cause a stir, even on a night that finally ended in cheers rather than boos.
