Ambitious Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg are ready to throw their hat into the ring for the unsettled and big mouth Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb, according to reports in Germany.
Barcelona and Bayern Munich are believed to be leading the race to sign the Belarus international, who wants to leave the Gunners.
But now, Hleb’s former coach from his Stuttgart days Felix Magath wants to make him his third big-name signing after acquiring Italian World Cup winners Cristian Zaccardo and Andrea Barzagli from Palermo.
“Alexander Hleb is a very interesting player,” said Wolves coach Magath in the Wolfsburger Nachrichten newspaper.
“He came to me at Stuttgart and became a regular first-team player there.”
Wolfsburg are backed by automobile manufacturers Volkswagen, who are based in the northern Germany city, and the reported 15-million-euro ($A24.58million) price tag would not be a problem.
Magath is keen on building a strong squad for next season after leading the club into the UEFA Cup in his first year in charge.
Lets hope where ever he goes he doesn’t give a spray when he doesn’t get his way.
