I despair: as if we don’t have enough problems without Fullers latest indiscretion

Never in my time as a Stoke fan have I known of so many players have driving related issues, get STUPID red cards, and generally bring the clubs image into disrepute.

Apparently Ricardo Fuller, who has been plying his trade in the UK for 8 years, has been arrested for “driving offences” suspected to be driving with no license and therefore no insurance. A non UK driving license is only valid for 1 year before you have to change it for a UK license, something I believe involves merely sending your old one to the DVLA in exchange for a UK one, not actually taking the UK driving test (although for some it really should be the case) . Driving with out the correct license automatically invalidates your insurance. It is also understood that his car has been confiscated by the Police.

What amazes me is that the bloke is on £10,000 a WEEK, almost certainly has an agent, surely if the player himself is to lazy to check these things, it is something his agent should be checking, what else does he have to do for his 5-10% ?

This comes on the back of his Red Card for slapping Andy Griffin the club captain, Rory Delaps red card for kick the ball at Shaun Wright Phillips, and Matthew Ethringtons red card for clipping some Sunderland player whose name escapes me, and I can’t be bothered to look up.

And on the back of Vincent Pericard’s stay at Her Majesty’s Pleasure for claiming his dad was driving when he got done by a speed camera, and Peter Sweeny’s drink driving conviction.
