Iaquinta Outshines Trezegeut as Juve Impress

Disillusioned Trezegeut Scores, Blazes Penalty

Trezegeut did not look so much in a happy mood during yesterday’s Trofeo Tim and his frustration was exhaled in the penalty shoot-out against Milan, blazing his penalty high over Kalac’s post. David Trezegeut grabbed a goal and restored parity for Juventus in the first match against Milan but Trezegeut was not in his lethal form and Amauri and Iaquinta have been in the limelight on the ground in terms of pre-season friendlies for Juventus, not to mention also Del Piero who had some fine moments on the pitch too. Cobolli Gigli has said that after yesterday’s performances, the transfer market is closed for the Bianconeri and meanwhile, Laporta, the barcelona president confirmed that his interest in Trezegeut has decreased.

Juventus 2-2 Milan (2-4)

Milan took the early lead in the sixth minute thanks to a stunning strike from Clarence Seedorf with Trezegeut pegging the Rossoneri a minute later restoring parity. Juventus looked to dominate Milan and Marco Marchionni netted a stunning header past a hapless Kalac sending the Bianconeri 2-1 winning. Juventus started looking nervous at the end of the 45-minute long match and after having some good chances missed, Seedorf stunned once again Gigi to restore parity and send the match to penalties.

Trezegeut scorched his penalty high above Kalac’s post while Tiago tried the quick penalty. I really have to say seeing Tiago going to place the ball on the spot was something special and then the quick run-up and disaster shot which more seemed like a training pass to Kalac defied hopes of the Portuguese midfielder reviving hopes of having something good with the Bianconeri fans.

Juventus 1-0 Inter

Mourinho’s Inter were stunned as Juventus left the Inter defence scrambling. Iaquinta came on to replace injured Amauri and scored a one-on-one effort easily against Cesar. Materazzi went off injured too to add woes to Mr. Mourinho aka the Special One who will definitely have to come up with something special if he indeed wants to get some silverware during his stay in Milan. The tournament was won by Milan who beat their rivals on penalties too meaning Mourinho’s men did not come out with something positive out of this tournament. Inter had dropped out of the Birra Moretti tournament which will be played later this month meaning Napoli and Juve will now play against Inter’s cousins Milan who entered the tournament to replace hapless Inter.
