Injuries put hole in title hopes

Arsenal Captain Cesc Fabregas has joined the injured club with fellow team mates Tomas Rosicky, Theo Walcott, Eduardo, Kolo Toure and Nicklas Bendtner.

Injuries have been a major concern for the Gunners who have failed to produce consistant performances this season with the Captain really adding to the woes out for 1-3 weeks with Knee Ligament Damage.

The event occured within the first 45 minutes after Xabi Alonso tackled his Spainish team mate.

It has really come at a bad time for the Gunners with two games in the next week with Aston Villa on Friday and Portsmouth on Sunday a time when they needed all the players they can get to restore the slim title hopes.

BUT EVERYTHING IS OK BECAUSE…

Club Champion Thierry Henry has come out and told the press that Arsenal can still win the title.

Everyone has been having a go at Arsenal but the Premier League is very competitive and not easy for anyone,” he told The Sun. “They are still in the race.

“It will be difficult of course because it’s better to be eight points ahead than eight points behind as Arsenal are at the moment.

“But it could be five after Sunday if they beat Liverpool.”

I know that the comments were before the game against Liverpool but why did Henry go into bat for Arsenal? does he think they are a genuine chance? does he love his former club and is this a hint of coming back? or is it a simple comment to seek attention?

Voted number 1 Arsenal player on the club website any Arsenal fan would be happy to see the former champion return to bring them a title after a disappointing exit from the club.

BUT! I think Mr Henry should keep his comments to himself unless he is going to come back to the club I mean he is basically barraking for a team that he may have to play in the Champions League a team that he has very strong ties with.
