The public, but also and the selector Bilić, are marking the Vatreni as stronger representation than both host teams of Euro, but captain of Austria Andreas Ivanschitz sent out the massage that on Sunday it won’t be easy for Croatia to get the point(s).

“Even Germans aren’t favourits on our field, and especially aren’t Croatians. The group is widely open, it’ll be tense and uncertain by the end. We all have chances to go through to quarter-finals.”, thinks Austrian with Croatian roots from which host fans expect a lot.
“We’ll try to please them. We have the motive, the atmosphere in the camp is great and why wouldn’t we place to the second round? That cause is worth sacrificing absolutely everything. Playing at Euro or the WC is an privilege, those are the matches which will be remembered the entire life and that’s why nothing is hard for us.”, says Ivanschitz who appreciates Croatian national team, but also believes in his teammates.
“You have few very quality players, and I don’t know anybody who hasn’t heard of your victory at Wembley. And that’s why we respect you, but the same as every other opponent. When the ball moves off the center, it will be a great battle. We’ll leave our bones on the field just to beat you. We want go to the quarter-finals, Austria expects that from us and that’s why I’m convinced that we won’t fail. And you should look out.”, the captain sent away the massage to Bilić and his players.
