Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea are ready to battle it out to sign 16-year-old Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga.
Coventry-born England youth star Monga has already made headlines despite his young age.
The electric teenager made his senior debut for the Foxes last season, and has already racked up 27 first team appearances.
His talent is unquestionable, and the big clubs are already circling.
Leicester are believed to have placed a £25 million price tag on Monga – a massive fee for someone so young.
But reports indicate that figure is unlikely to dissuade some on the Premier League’s top sides.
Manchester City’s £300,000 per week spend on new signing Marc Guehi’s wages is a reminder of their financial clout.
And Chelsea have spent more than £1 billion on new arrivals under owner Todd Boehly.
Manchester City And Chelsea Battling To Sign Jeremy Monga
Both Manchester City and Chelsea have emerged as possible destinations for the young Foxes flyer.
City view Monga as a long-term prospect with bags of potential and the ability to develop into an elite star.
Pep Guardiola’s side are hoping their record of successfully bringing through youngsters such as Phil Foden, Rico Lewis and Nico O’Reilly will help persuade Monga to join.
The 2009-born wonderkid is valued for his pace, acceleration and balance, while also possessing vision and decision making well beyond his years.
16 years and 37 days.

Monga would not be dropped straight into the first team. City would aim to nurture his talent an allow him to develop, surrounded by elite players and unbeatable facilities.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have a similar desire to sign Monga.
The West London side have been stockpiling young stars for years, with the aim of either bringing them through to the first team or selling on for huge profit.
New Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior’s tactics suit Monga’s talents, and he could become hugely important at Stamford Bridge.
Regardless of which destination he chooses, Monga will know he is unlikely to play much at first.
But the possibility of furthering his development at one of Europe’s top sides will be hard to turn down.
Leicester Desperate To Keep Elite Young Talent Monga
However, despite his rapid rise and outside interest, Monga remains a Leicester player.
The Foxes handed him a Premier League debut at 15, and are well aware of his potential.
There is no immediate pressure on Leicester to sell, and they believe Monga is best-placed with them for now.
He is earning fantastic experience in the Championship – an immensely physical and fiercely competitive league.

The club have been very supportive of Monga, and do not feel that the teenager is likely to force a move.
Monga’s family are happy with how Leicester are managing his development, and retain a good relationship with the Foxes.
Any potential move will therefore be less of a bidding war, and more a measured sales pitch.
Monga and those around him are keen to ensure he is at the best place for his development, rather than just the biggest club.
Where Will Jeremy Monga Play Next Season?
As it stands, Jeremy Monga’s immediate future is undecided.
From a City perspective, he is a long-term option that represents the club’s renowned multi-year squad planning.
But even for them, a £25 million outlay on a 16-year-old feels like a lot of money.

As for Chelsea, they have been down this road before, with mixed results.
The reason for the Blues’ interest is obvious, but fans have grown tired of seeing countless young stars snapped up only to disappear into the Cobham system and seemingly never be seen again.
Monga’s talent and potential is unquestionable, but Leicester’s stance is clear.
They will not sell one of their most exciting academy graduates in recent memory unless a massive offer comes in.
And for any club willing to pay such a fee, the risk may be too much to stomach.
