I KNEW IT!!!!!

Milan were four points ahead of Napoli going into day twenty-two against Catania. Cassano made a rare start up front with Ibrahimovic and Robinho. New signing Van Bommel started, while Emanuelson came on at half time for Merkel. Catania came out the gate with some swift counter attacks, but to no avail. All the action really took place in the second half. When after just ten minutes Cassano was dispossessed racing down the left. Van Bommel gives Ledesma a faint touch and was given a second yellow. It was an unfair dismissal but if anyone read my last post you will know I am not Van Bommels biggest fan. Now down to ten men, you would have thought we would struggle. Far from it, we went ahead when an Ibrahimovic free kick was parried by Andujar and Robinho was quickest to react. Blasting it into the roof of the net from close range. Again we sat back and were met by a flurry of Catania counter attacks. The centre back pairing of Yepes and Bonera held out and were rewarded when with five minutes to go Ibrahimovic slid in from a Robinho cross. Overall a good game, Catania’s day was summed up beautifully by Simone Pesce who blasted over the bar from two yards out in the final minutes. Newly appointed Catania manager Diego Simeone had alot of work on his hands. They now lie two points above the relegation zone. Milan stay top.
