Why Manchester United are actually the most deserving premier league champions in years.

Despite a season filled with what would be seen as disappointing results, and an away record which reads a worrying 3 wins from 11 games. I feel that because of United’s pure resilience and mental strength and most importantly the ability to win without playing well.

United current 11 are the most deserving champions since Arsenal’s team of invincibles during the 2003-2004 season. If we look back on history, we will see that in the 2004-2005 season Chelsea had a team of world class players that were completed by a tactical genius pulling the strings in Jose Mourinho, the same applies to the 2005-2006 season.

After this it was United’s turn to dominate the Premier League once more during the 2006-2007 – 2008-2009 campaigns. But if we look back to this point we will see that United possessed the best player in the world at that time, Cristiano Ronaldo who contributed a staggering 91 goals during these seasons of course I am not saying that this made it easy for that United team to win the Premier League during those seasons because it never is, but the task is a little less difficult when you have the worlds best player firing on all cylinders for you for three years.

Then we go back to last season where Chelsea had two of the three players of the season in my opinion Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard. If we compare these teams that have previously won the Premier League with United’s current 11 United fall some way short of the ability to win the premier league, however United’s resilience and team work puts them way above any other team that has won the premier league in the last 6 years mainly because they’re team work and belief in each others ability is to much of a challenge for most teams to put up with for 90 minutes and although I backed Arsenal at the start I cant see anything stopping United from claiming they’re deserved 11th premier league title.
