This was one of not so many this season’s Barca games fans could really enjoy. After a week which saw them knocked out of Europe, the blaugranas faced a difficult test against Valencia with only four league games remaining. And Rijkaard’s side came through with flying colors. They showed the necessary unity, pride and professionalism and swept Valencia aside with some crushing, yet sublime, football. Unfortunately, that praise of motivation, unity and everything else already mentioned, came too late, as Real Madrid already secured their 31st league title, but there’s still some time to pass Villarreal and finish in the second place.
