He has been absolutely superb this month and he fully deserves this award as he is currently enjoying his longest ever unbroken stint on first team duty!
Onuoha’s form has meant a shift in position for one of his fellow Academy graduates Micah Richards. They may soon be compelled to fight for the same shirt but for the moment are definitely singing from the same hymn sheet, with Onouha just nipping in front of the fiesty RB to win this award.
Onouha has looked class at centre back this month. He plays with superb composure for a young player, calm under pressure, distributes well and has phenomenal pace and aggression in the tackle. On performances he would be my first choice centre back in the team. He is a good athlete and has plenty between his ears which IS required to improve and reach the level required.
If there was an award for the most improved player that would certainly go to Ned too, his awareness and reading of the game has come on leaps and bounds and with the arrival of Given in goal, he looks confident.
