The Daily Mail has reported that Manchester United are looking to raise funds by offloading some of the fringe players at the club. With Pique being considered one of these players, playing a very minimal part in the team’s drive for success, the newspaper reported that Fergie would be looking to cash in on the player.
There is big interest in the Spanish ex-Barca player in his home country Spain. It seems Pique would be willing to leave unless he can realistically challenge Ferdinand and Vidic next season. With the strong bond between the two players, and the probable arrival of another centre-back this summer, it seems Pique no longer has a part to play for Man Utd.
