Arsenal sit top of the Premier League table after 11 rounds of fixtures and have three players in Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad.
The Gunners — who were recently hailed by fans as the best team in the world — also have two players in England’s U21 squad.
But where would Arsenal be in the Premier League table this season if only goals scored by English players counted? Spoiler alert: Mikel Arteta’s side would still be top!
Creating a Premier League table where only English goals count
With the boredom of another international break already setting in after just a couple of days, FootballBlog.co.uk decided to go through the first 110 results of the 2025/26 Premier League season and delete all goals not scored by an English player. Own goals were also removed.
The result was a lot of 0–0 draws! There have been 301 goals in the Premier League so far this season, with just 59 scored by English players — less than 20%.

Arsenal and Brighton flying high in Premier League table that only counts English goals
Brighton would be the top scorers in the Premier League this season if only goals netted by English players counted. The Seagulls have scored seven “English goals”, with Danny Welbeck bagging six and James Milner getting the other.
However, Brighton would only be second in the table, two points behind unbeaten leaders Arsenal. Everton would also be unbeaten.
The Gunners would have had six 0–0 draws so far — including against Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City — while they would have beaten Leeds, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Burnley and Sunderland.

Spurs and Sunderland among teams to have scored zero English goals
Of the 20 current Premier League teams, only Tottenham, Brentford, Sunderland and Wolves have zero English goalscorers so far this season.
Those clubs have scored 57 non-English goals between them.
Manchester United in the relegation zone
Manchester United have scored two English goals this season — Mason Mount’s strike in the 2–0 win over Sunderland and Harry Maguire’s late winner away at Liverpool.
However, no team has conceded more goals by English scorers than the Red Devils. Because of this, United would sit 18th, in the relegation zone, if only English goals had counted in the Premier League so far this season.
