Rangers and Rapid Vienna have agreed a fee, believed to be around £3.5m, for Nikica Jelavic.
The Croatian international has already scored 4 goals in Europe for the Austrians this season and he scored in the Austrian Bundesliga on Sunday against Sturm Graz. Jelavic got the seal of approval from fellow Croats Slaven Bilic and fans favourite Dado Prso. The 24-year-old also scored three times against Celtic last season and once against Aston Villa in the Europa League.
Jelavic will become Rangers’ first signing in nearly three years and could be right into the team for Saturday’s clash against Kilmarnock, if the formalities are tied up by then.
