My Report Card-On Manchester United’s new signings

My Report Card – On Manchester United new signings

Ashley Young

A great performance from the 26 years old English winger! 3 games , 2 goals and 5 assists! Nobody will expect him to improve so fast and able to slot into the first team permanently after a few matches.  Ashley Young is definitely an important figure in the midfield this season. Other than contributing delicious crosses for his team, he links well with all his team-mates and never fails to make himself available when someone wants to make a pass to the front line. Without doubt, his darting runs will also confuse his opponent easily and allow his strikers to find more spaces and time to score goals for the team.

Rating: 10/10

Phil Jones

Rio and Vidic’s injury give him the chance to shine and he performs very well in every match. He communicates with his defence well and marks his man well enough to protect De Gea from harm. In the Arsenal match,  he won almost every header and looked very confident throughout the 90 minutes. A star for future and great backup for Rio and Vidic.

Rating: 8/10

De Gea

Not the best performances from the Spanish goalkeeper. He made mistakes and errors but there are positive displays from him too. One of his proud moment in EPL will be his penalty save during Arsenal match. Without him, the score maybe different in the end. Who knows?  A flop? I don’t think so. He needs time to learn and adapt to the playing style of EPL. Let’s wait and see!
