The left side of midfield has been a long-term problem for the club, but Spurs are reportedly monitoring the 18-year-old’s progress as they look for a solution.
Fernandez is currently playing in the Venezuelan league, for Deportivo Anzoátegui, and a whole host of European clubs, including Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Lyon, have sent scouts to take a closer look at the young talent.
