St. Louis-Hamilton Makes Loan Move South

Stoke’s delightfully named young goalkeeper Danzelle St. Louis-Hamilton has moved on loan to League One side Bristol Rovers. The eighteen year old will move to the South West club, who sit fourteenth in the League One table, for an initial month after the deal was completed today.

St. Louis-Hamilton, who could well make his debut for the Pirates in tomorrow’s home fixture against Yeovil, signed his first professional contract for Stoke in the summer, after previously joining the club from Watford’s academy. He is yet to make an appearance in the Stoke first team but has impressed in goal for the reserves.

St. Louis-Hamilton heads out on loan

With most of the club’s other young players scattered around the country out on loan, I am pleased to see that Danzelle his now been sent out himself as it will provide him with vital experience for the future. It’s also enthusing that he has been sent out to a club at a reasonably high level for his first move, rather than to a Conference North side like several of his contemporaries, showing how highly the management at Stoke value him.

Hopefully, he will profit from his time at Bristol Rovers and come back ready to challenge for a first-team place in the near future.
