The Future of Liverpool Football Club

This season not a soul can deny the excitement and drama of the premier league title race with three teams in it right till the end with more twists in it than a slinky. However this is not due to the brilliance of a select few teams it is due to the lack of ability and poor quality of the so called giants of English football to perform which has allowed the likes of in my opinion a distinctly average Liverpool side a chance to win the league.

So next season where does this leave Liverpool well yes with Champion League football they may be able to attract so more high profile players but playing high profile matches on a Tuesday against the likes of PSG or undertaking the 4000 round trip to Donetsk followed by a Chelsea away may prove too much to handle for this fledgling Liverpool side. It has long been documented that Chelsea are without a world class striker this is nothing new.

If they achieve the purchase of say a Diego Costa or an Edison Cavani will they be able to challenge for the Champions League and Premier League titles? Most likely.  Manchester City can only improve with a few inevitable big money summer signings. Manchester United can certainly do no worse and with a new manager, large transfer budget and the lack of a mid week distraction they can only do better cant they?

A new dawn for spurs may see them have a chance at possibly a Champions League place. About Arsenal well we can probably expect the usual 4th place finish from them. So in my opinion if Liverpool don’t win the title this year which is now looking increasingly less likely they may have to wait a long time for their next opportunity. As for Liverpool’s fortunes next year I  certainly don’t see them as title challengers in the slightest and will more than likely struggle to maintain their place in the top four.
