Wolves Striker Set For Dortmund Move After €26.5m Bid Accepted

Fabio Silva Dortmund Transfer

Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement with Wolves for striker Fabio Silva in a deal worth up to €26.5 million.

The agreement includes €22.5m guaranteed, plus a further €4m in performance-related add-ons.

Silva is expected to travel to Germany for a medical in the coming days, having already said his goodbyes to Wolves teammates and staff during Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup tie against West Ham United, where he was left out of the squad.

Fabio Silva to Join Dortmund

Silva, 23, joined Wolves from Porto in September 2020 for a then-club record fee of around €40m.

Despite flashes of talent, he struggled to consistently impact the Premier League and spent much of his time away on loan.

The Portuguese forward has had temporary spells with Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven and Rangers, before an encouraging campaign at Las Palmas last season, where he scored 10 goals and registered three assists in Spain’s top flight.

At Wolves, Silva has managed just five goals in 72 appearances.

Dortmund Transfer News

The Fabio Silva Dortmund transfer makes him the latest Premier League player to join the Bundesliga side.

Dortmund have already confirmed the arrivals of Chelsea duo Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino this week, the latter on loan.

Silva is expected to provide further attacking depth as Dortmund reshape their squad ahead of a demanding domestic and European season.

Wolves Transfer News

Wolves, meanwhile, are continuing their rebuild under Vítor Pereira.

The club are close to finalising a deal for Girona defender Ladislav Krejci and have already signed full-backs Jackson Tchatchoua and David Moller Wolfe, alongside forwards Fer Lopez and Jhon Arias.

The Midlands club also made Jorgen Strand Larsen’s stay permanent for £23m after his loan from Celta Vigo.

Newcastle United have already tested Wolves’ resolve for Strand Larsen with bids of £50m and £55m, but both have been rejected as Wolves maintain the Norwegian striker is not for sale.
