The members of UEFA’s commission, together with the officials of CFF, visited football stadiums in Koprivnica, ÄŒakovec and Varaždin today. Before that, they were in KranjÄevićeva (NK Zagreb), Kostrena, Rijeka, ZapreÅ¡ić, Vinkovci and Osijek. The purpose of their visit is to affirm the categorization of the stadiums and to help with their advice in removing faults.
“Croatian Football Federation has already made the categorization of the stadiums, but the marks of the UEFA’s commission will help us to affirm that categorization. But, what is more important is noting the faults and based on that we’ll give the recommendations to the owners and managers of that stadiums, which interventions are necessary on their objects.”, said IvanÄica Sudac, the leader of international department for licencing in CFF.
According to UEFA’s standards stadiums are divided in four categories: from I to III and the elite category.
“Unfortunately, we don’t have any stadium in Croatia which can be placed in the elite category, and only twp of them can be placed in III, while majority belong to II category. The final note of inspection of the stadiums will be given on Friday at press conference in Zagreb, but the present experience shows that all stadiums have a lot place for improval.
During the inspection, the commission put attention on conditions for players and referees, and also on security of the visitors and conditions for medias. Considering licence for appearing in European cups, all clubs which asked for it manage to get it. Those clubs are Dinamo, Hajduk, Slaven Belupo and Rijeka.
