Weekly Gossip Round-Up

Well another week’s gone by which can mean only one thing: gossip, and lots of it. This week rumours of Milito, Taarabt, Berbatov and KP Boateng.

KEVIN PRINCE BOATENG TO GO HOME ( the people ) KP Boateng is set to leave Tottenham and rejoin former manager, Martin Jol, in his former country, Germany, playing for Hamburg. Spurs are willing to sell for around £5mil.

POSSIBILITY: 9/10. I’m pretty sure KP Boateng will leave, the only question is where he will go. Hamburg are a decent club, and the midfielder would surely favour the idea of rejoining forces with the man who led him to Tottenham in the first place, none other then BMJ.

SPURS FACE COMPETITON FOR DIEGO MILITO ( various ) Lyon have reportadly enterd the race for Argentine striker Diego Milito, but face competition from Manchester City, Everton, Villareal and Tottenham. The player is expected to leave Real Zaragoza sooner rather then later, but Zaragoza are holding out for £16mil for the striker.

POSSIBILITY-7/10. There’s no doubt that a host of clubs want Milito, but will he go to Tottenham? He could, after all we’re desperate for a new strikeforce, but would the lure of champions league football lead him to Lyon? Then again, could Lyon afford his £16mil pricetag?

TARRABT TO WEST BROM? ( the mirror ) Tony Mowbary wants to capture Spurs youngster Adel Taarabt on loan from Tottenham. West Brom need a repacement for Zoltan Gera and Tottenham are happy for their player to leave on a loan to get first team experience.

POSSIBILITY- 8/10 This could happen. After all Taarabt isn’t exactly a first team regular is he? That said if our striker problem gets any worse, he might not be able to leave, just in case he’s needed.

BERBATOV ON STRIKE? ( the sun ) Dimitar Berbatov was left out of Saturday’s clash with Sunderland not because Ramos dropped him, but because he had gone on strike just earlier hours. The Bulgarian is apparantly livid with the Tottenham management for not letting him join Manchester United.

POSSIBILITY- 6.5/10 Berbatov could be on strike, but I think it’s unlikely. After all, Ramos has shown at Sevilla that he doesn’t like being messed with. Wouldn’t he have fined Berbatov for striking? I think we should put him on the transfer list, wait for Barca or Inter to bid for him, and then sell him to them, whatever the price. Ramos shouldn’t let him go to United.

Well, theres another week’s gossip over and done. More next week! 🙂
