Liverpool were hoping to sign Gareth Barry and sell Xabi Alonso to Juventus but things have changed Arsenal are in the hunt for both midfielders.
Alonso had been linked to Juventus but the Spaniard’s negotiations have fallen through. Arsenal maybe now eyeing him to replace Gilberto and Flamini as a defensive midfielder.
The news maybe just a rumour but Alonso would be a nice replacement and would be able to gel well with the team.
