England seem to really struggle for players. They needed a striker so they ended up calling upon a Championship player. In Spain for example this would never occur, they would rely on one of the big clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona to have a good youth striker. For example like Pedro or Bojan.
In England this doesn’t happen. I feel Sturridge would have been able to have done the same job that Bothroyd did yet he wasn’t even given a look in. Anderlecht gave Lukaku a chance from the age of 16 because he was really good for their youth team. Not many English team would introduce them into their first team so confidently like Anderlecht, Ajax, Barcelona and a lot of small Spanish teams do because they would rather spend money on foreign talent of pay over the top prices for British talent with Spurs do a lot.
English Teams need to change.
