Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz has turned away speculation that he will be moving clubs. A host of clubs have been interested in the striker after 23 goals last season from the Paraguay International including Arsenal.
He has been spending time at home in the off season and said he was ready for a new season with Blackburn.
“A lot of people said my transfer to a bigger club was about to happen, but I live in the present and I’m focused on Blackburn.
“I’m happy for the good season that I had and the important goals that I scored.
“I am motivated by the other teams’ interest, but if I am not transferred then I want to have a good season at Blackburn.”
