Arsenal are considering whether to accept Barcelona’s £30 million bid for Emmanuel Adebayor.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be disappointed to lose Adebayor, who scored 30 goals in all competitions last season. Arsenal may lose one of their best strikers but they will gain £25 million after buying Adebayor for £4.2 million 18 months ago.
As reported earlier in the week Adebayor isn’t happy with his £35,000 a week salary at Arsenal and has been seeking a more lucrative contract. Arsenal were looking to improve his contract before Adebyor started talking to the media but this now looks unlikely.
Arsenal are said to be lining up Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz as a possible replacement should Adebayor leave.
