Michael Dawson has recently spoken out about how pleased he is to be once again playing with Jermain Defoe, who signed from Portsmouth this window.
“Everyone knows Jermain – it does not seem too long since he was here,” said Dawson.
“He is a sharp little fellow and signing players like him can only be good for the squad.
“I’ve played against him in training and in matches but I’d rather play with him in my team.
“He’s quick in and around the box and he scores goals. I’m sure he’ll liven up the dressing room – it won’t take him long to settle in.”
The new spurs ace is set to play his second match for Tottenham, since his return, on Sunday. Ironically, it is against his former team Portsmouth.
Dawson knows how important getting the 3 points on Sunday is:
“Portsmouth is a massive, massive game for us,” he said. “We know what the Premier League means to the club – it’s our bread and butter – and we need points.
