Deadline Day Live

Following the recent news that my school has been closed due to snow, I will be here throughout the day keeping you up to date with the goings on around White Hart Lane on this transfer deadline day. The window closes at 17:00 today, and expect a lot of business to be done before then. Tottenham are reportedly in talks with Liverpool over bringing Robbie Keane back to the lane in the absence of the injured Jermain Defoe; and Harry Redknapp was said to have claimed last night that a deal was 40% possible. Daniel Levy will also be at the centre of any negotiations, and has claimed the club is in talks with two players about loan deals. Any updates will be brought on THIS POST throughout the day.

UPDATE

skysports.com reports that Ricardo Quaresma is one of those loan signings, and is set to join Spurs for the rest of the season. Quaresma has been left out of Jose Mourinho’s squad for the knock-out stages of the champions league, and has struggled since joining the Nezzuri. He could either be the solution to the left-sided problem; or the replacement for Aaron Lennon who could be on his way to Anfield in a deal for Robbie Keane.

UPDATE

Tottenham have made an improved bid for Liverpool’s Robbie Keane, not 24 hours after Rafael Benitez said he thought the Irishman would still be at Liverpool come 17:01 tonight. The bid is said to be cash only, and does not involve Spurs’ Aaron Lennon. With six hours until the closure of the transfer window, Robbie Keane is said to be travelling to London, and Liverpool should respond to the offer at around 12:00.

UPDATE
And now the worst news we could have hoped for today. Tottenham have accepted a bid from Portsmouth for Giovani Dos Santos, skysports have claimed. The Mexican joined from Barcelona in the summer and has only played 45 minutes under Harry Redknapp. It is yet to be confirmed as to wether it is a loan deal or on a perminant basis.
UPDATE
Giovani’s move to Portsmouth is off!!! Due to his lack of match fitness, Tony Adams has assessed him, and decided he needs players that can play straight away. Gio will no be going anywhere today, and will get one more chance to impress Harry. YES!!!!!!!!
