Jadon Sancho Makes Roma Transfer Decision As Manchester United Outcast Considers Options

Jadon Sancho has seemingly rejected a move to AS Roma – with his astronomical wages playing a massive part.

The Manchester United outcast has been told he is free to leave Old Trafford if he can find a new club willing to take ownership of his alleged £250,000 per week salary.

We told you how Sancho had agreed to slash his wage in a bid to get some sort of agreement reached with the Serie A giants who were looking to pay around £75k per week following a loan and £20million purchase obligation.

Jadon Sancho rejects AS Roma transfer offer

But now, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Sancho has instructed his agents to reject Roma’s proposal as he is not interested in what is on offer at the Olimpico Stadium.

Time is seriously running out for Sancho to find a new club as playing time with Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils is seriously unlikely. United even have the option to extend his deal by another 12 months which also has no chance of happening.

It seems Sancho will almost certainly have to take a massive pay cut to get any exit done as very few clubs are able – or willing – to meet his current earnings.

Roma have already moved on from Sancho and did so very quickly as they get set to unveil Leon Bailey from Aston Villa.

Again it was Romano who reported that Roma had agreed a loan deal for the Jamaican with a £20m buy option should the deal suit all parties at the end of the season.

Who Roma signed as Sancho alternative

The playmaker will undergo his medical later this afternoon in Italy as his move is finalised.

Back to United, meanwhile, and talks are ongoing with Alejandro Garnacho’s camp to make his exit from the Theatre of Dreams to join Chelsea later this window.

The Argentinian playmaker, 21, made 58 appearances for his club last season which is a staggering number of games to play, but wants a move this window.

He hit 11 goals and provided 10 assists in that time last year and that alerted the Blues to his availability with behavioral issues certainly a factor in United’s willingness to do business.

Alejandro Garnacho to join Sancho in leaving Manchester United

Bryan Mbuemo has already been snapped up in a big money move from Brentford to add to United’s attacking options and relieve any potential pressure on the club who will lose Garnacho.

Chelsea, ironically, had Sancho on loan last season and even had inserted an obligation to buy.

However Todd Boehly agreed to pay a £5m penalty to get the club out of that agreement.
