Manchester United fans will be eagerly awaiting an injury update on two players ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Tottenham.
Both Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt were missing from team training at Carrington on Wednesday.
The pair were also absent as United left it late to beat Fulham 3-2 last weekend.
Michael Carrick’s side were cruising at 2-0 heading into the final stages at Old Trafford on Sunday.
But Raul Jimenez’s 85th-minute penalty and Kevin’s stoppage time rocket levelled matters and left United reeling.
With 94 minutes on the clock, Benjamin Sesko grabbed a miraculous winner for United, maintaining caretaker boss Carrick’s perfect start.
Wins against Arsenal and Manchester City had already sparked calls to make Carrick the permanent Man United manager.
However, fresh concerns over Mount and De Ligt mean both could still be missing when Spurs come to Old Trafford on Saturday.
Manchester United Injury Update Due Ahead Of Weekend
Mount missed the Fulham game with a “knock” and remains a doubt for this weekend.
Although not through to be serious, the 27-year-old’s continued absence would be a blow.
Mount has been regaining form under Carrick, and is vying for a starting spot after Patrick Dorgu’s injury.

Instead, it was Matheus Cunha who took the opportunity to start at the weekend, scoring United’s second goal.
Meanwhile, Matthijs de Ligt’s continued unavailability is becoming a concern.
The Dutch defender has not featured since December due to a back injury.
But after being initially expected to miss only a few games, it’s worrying to see him still out.
De Ligt had played in every one of United’s Premier League games this season prior to his injury.
And given there has been no return date set and limited updates, fans are rightly worried about the centre half.
Manchester United Continue To Ride Carrick Wave
It’s been an incredible start to life at Old Trafford for caretaker boss Michael Carrick.
The former England midfielder spent more than a decade with United as a player, making 464 appearances in all competitions.

In that time, he helped the Red Devils to five Premier League titles, the Champions League, Europa League, Club World Cup and FA Cup, as well as three EFL Cups.
Since retiring in 2018, he has managed Middlesbrough in the EFL Championship, and briefly took caretaker charge of United in 2021 after the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Now in his second stint in the United dugout, he has won all three games since taking over on 13 January.
