Spurs have ended their intrest in Andrei Arshavin, putting a stop to the speculation that the player was on the brink of a move to the club.
Arshavin’s club, Zenit St Petersburg, had reportedly demanded around £24mil for the Russian playmaker and, despite lowering their price at the weekend, Tottenham decided not to make a bid.

Tottenham are now chasing other targets. The club have ruled out bids for Fredi Kanoute and Michael Owen but Andrei Arshavin’s Russian teammate Roman Pavlyuchenko is still a target. The Russian could cost around £16mil.

Dimitar Berbatov appears closer then ever to completing a move to Manchester United. The striker has been linked with United since last Christmas. The Bulgarian apparantly has his heart set on a move and requested a transfer at the weekend. He was left out the starting X1 by coach Ramos at the weekend.
