Sir Alex Ferguson has stated his belief that Cristiano Ronaldo will reject any offer that Real Madrid make, and will be at Manchester United not just for the 2008/09 season, but for more seasons to come. He also said that the Glazers will not allow the move and would rather demote Ronaldo to the Reserves squad than sell him to Real Madrid.
“I’m very confident about that. It’s a game Real play all the time. In the past they’ve done it with David Beckham, they’ve done it with Van Nistelrooy, they’ve done it with my fitness coach last summer – so we’re used to it.”
