Fulop Deal On Hold

The transfer of Hungarian goalkeeper Marton Fulop looks to have been put on hold after personal terms between the player and the club could not be agreed (IE he wants too much.) The outcome of the deal is now in the balance, despite Fulop joining seeming a certainty just days ago.

This development goes a way to explain the surprise news from yesterday that Stoke have taken Thomas Sorensen on trial, as it now seems likely that Pulis will look for an alternative to Fulop.

Elsewhere, The Potters are being linked with a move for Newcastle and Senegal defender Abdoulaye Faye who can also be used in a defensive midfield role. There is, however, competition as Wigan Blackburn and Everton are all also rumoure to be interested in the former Newcastle man.
