Rangers trialists Georgie Welcome and Nacer Barazite will feature tomorrow in a closed-doors game against Partick Thistle at Murray Park. Welcome is on trial from Honduran side Montagua and played a part in their World Cup squad in the summer. Barazite, on trial from Arsenal, played in the 2-1 defeat to Glentoran last week and impressed infront of Ian Durrant.
Jelavic will swap green & white for the Rangers blue
Croatian reports this evening have said that Rapid Vienna striker Nikica Jelavic has sealed his £3.5m move to Rangers. The headline on the newspaper ‘index’ said: “Nikica Jelavic signs for Rangers!”. The SPL Champions and Rapid Vienna agreed a fee last week and personal terms were being discussed but the deal stalled when Jelavic demanded a pay-out promised by Rapid after he moved from Zulte Waregem. It seems the 24-year-old will wave goodbye to the pay-out in order to seal his dream move to Ibrox in the next few days.
