World Cup winning coach Marcello Lippi feels that this Italy squad can win a historic double after lifting the World Cup two years ago. Lippi felt that Donadoni approached his challenge exceptionally well and introduced new players accordingly.
“He has done a great job and introduced the right new faces,†Lippi enthused.
“This Azzurri squad is very united. I can see that from their comments and feel the right spirit, desire and determination.â€
Lippi also went on to tip the betters on how to beat the bookies on Euro 2008.
“It’s tough to find a better team than this Italy. I have seen over the past two years that Germany have improved under Joachim Löw,” Lippi added.
“I am a little worried by Spain, as they have great players and absolutely need to do something this time after so many tournaments that went badly.
“We know France well, while Croatia and Romania will be surprises.â€
