Ahead of the London derby, both Arsenal and Chelsea are yet to lose a game in the league with both teams having the best defensive record of conceding just two goals.
Arsenal has won two of the five matches played and drawn three and have already played Liverpool and the league champions Manchester city. Chelsea on the other hand won four out five and drawn one in the goalless draw at Lotus road against QPR, which was the only game Chelsea didn’t score a single goal. Arsenal lie 5th with five games played and Chelsea are 1st with the same number of games played. Both teams thrashed their opponents in the league cup with six each and Arsenal conceding one.
Last years similar fixture at the Emirate stadium ended in a goalless draw and Arsenal already won the game at Stanford bridge 5-3 with Robin Van Persie (now at Manchester United) scoring a ha-trick with Andre Villas-Boas in charge of Chelsea. Roberto Di-Matteo has lost just three league games (all last season against Manchester City, Liverpool and Newcastle) since taken in charge in March and Arsenal are yet to lose at the Emirate so far this season.

Diaby, Arteta, Carzola
Gervinho, Podolski, Walcott
Ivanovic, Terry, Luiz, Cole
Mata, Hazard, Betrand
With Szczney still out with a foot injury, Manone is in contention to continue his good form for Arsenal and Vermaelen a doubt for this game, will see Mertesacker continue to partner with Koscieiny, Jenkinson will continue the right back position due to the injury of Sagna and Gibbs on the left back with Wilshere and Rosicky are still. Walcott should be back to the starting lineup after band impressive performance in the league cup against conventary scoring two goals.
Chelsea have no major injury after Marko Marin was passed fit to play the league cup against Wolves but both Lampard and Sturrage are a doubt to travel to the Emirates so Ramires will partner Mikel in the deeper role. John Terry will be up for selection despite being found guilty for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand for four match ban until after the appeal process have been concluded and therefore should partner Luiz in the central defense.
Arteta if selected for this game will make 250th start in English football and Arsene Wenger will be looking forward to make this game his 350th win in the Barclays premiere league at Arsenal should he win the Game. John Terry is one goal away to take his total goals to 50 in the blue colors while Ivanovic if selected will make his 100th league start in the blue shirt.
Both teams will be hoping to continue their good run of form and therefore will all be tactically discipline especially in their defense.
