Arsenal have signed a young player from the Barcalona youth academy. His names is Fran Merida.
He is much like current Arsenal Star Cese Fabergas, from the same academy, same nationality and same position.
He was signed by Arsenal at age 16 and has been playing in the youth and reserve teams at Arsenal. He has outgrown the youth system at Arsenal and is currently on loan to Real Sociedad in the La Liga B.
As a youth he has: scored the winner in the U17 Championships, played at the U17 World Cup and has played a major part in Arsenals Youth FA Cup (made semi finals).
He has played a senior game for Arsenal in the Carling Cup also making 3 substitute appearences in other matches.
He is likely to be a star of the future for the Gunners but we will have to wait and see.
